The Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) and Amazon Global Selling, a multinational e-commerce platform, will select various enterprises and provide them with training courses to sell products on Amazon.com, which is considered a great opportunity to increase sales by reaching Amazon’s 300+ million active customer accounts.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said: “Such cooperation represents a new phase of trade, through which Vietnamese enterprises can enjoy the benefits of a global network at reasonable cost. We should make full use of e-commerce to promote our exports and branding.”
Through the co-operation, VIETRADE and Amazon are aligned on the following joint efforts: supporting Vietnamese enterprises, especially small and medium-sized interests, by reaching out to Amazon’s international marketplaces; building the brands of Vietnam enterprises on Amazon.com, and organizing training programs for Vietnamese businesses on global sales and e-commerce to start selling on Amazon.com.
Amazon is currently one of the world’s three biggest e-commerce websites. Last September, Amazon launched the Vietnamese version of its official website and an associated official Facebook page.
