Anchorage Airport reopens after report of bomb on cargo aircraft

(VOVWORLD) - On Sunday morning (Vietnam time), Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, the biggest airport in the US state of Alaska, reopened after a bomb threat.

The Anchorage Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation released a statement on Saturday saying after extensive investigation, no explosive device was located from the bomb threat on a China Air cargo flight. The plane had been diverted after taking off from Seattle, Washington en route to Taipei.

The FBI, Anchorage Police Department, and the Ted Steven's Anchorage International Airport Police and Fire Department are focusing the investigation into source of the threat.

Ted Stevens Anchorage is among the top five airports in the world for cargo throughput.
