(VOVWORLD) - Cooperation between Vietnam and APEC over the past 20 years and in the future was featured at a conference in Hanoi on Friday.

The event analyzed opportunities and challenges and proposed a direction for post-2020 cooperation.
It was an opportunity to evaluate Vietnam’s contributions to APEC, the benefits of participating in APEC, and the results of international economic integration over the past 20 years.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said: “The meeting is an important foundation for Vietnam to improve its multilateral foreign relations in the future. Asia, Pacific, and APEC continue to be the focus of Vietnam’s foreign policy. Vietnam pledges to further cooperate with other members to uphold APEC roles towards implementing the target of building a peaceful, stable, dynamic, creative, connected, and prosperous Asia-Pacific community.”
