In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency ahead of President Mauricio Macri’s upcoming visit to Vietnam, Faurie said the two countries share trade ties with high growth potential, which reflects Vietnam’s progress, especially in the last decade. Vietnam has become an example for Argentina, especially in export policy, he added.
Faurie said Vietnam and Argentina should bolster economic and trade cooperation to raise two-way trade from the current 3 billion USD to 10 billion USD by 2025. Minister Faurie first visited Vietnam in 1996, and came back 22 years later. Changes in Hanoi, progress in production, and the new mindset of locals surprised him, he said.
President Mauricio Macri will pay a State visit to Vietnam from Tuesday to Thursday, his first visit to Vietnam as a President.
