(VOVworld) – Various art programs will be held at historical and cultural relic sites in Hanoi to welcome the 132nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, to be held in Hanoi from March 28 to April 1.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, an arts program will take place on the opening day of the event, on Saturday, at the Dien Hong Conference Hall of the National Assembly House. The program includes performances of traditional musical instruments, reflecting Vietnam’s rich culture. A water puppet show themed “Vietnamese soul” will also be held at the Temple of Literature.
Participants at IPU 132 will also be treated to unique Vietnamese art forms, such as Xoan, Chau Van singing and a performance of Paranung drum playing, to be held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo, Hanoi.
