(VOVworld) – 10 ASEAN Ambassadors to Moscow gathered on Thursday to attend the “ASEAN Day” in Moscow to celebrate ASEAN’s 47^th anniversary on August 8^th, 1967. Brunei Ambassador Haini Hashim, who is the current Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Moscow for a 6-month term, highlighted ASEAN’s important role in developing a peaceful and stable Southeast Asian region towards the establishment of an ASEAN Community by 2015.

Participants enjoyed special cuisine and art performances from the 10 ASEAN countries.
