ASEAN is determined to form ASEAN Economic Community by year-end

(VOVworld) - The 47th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting (AEM 47) and related meetings opened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Saturday. The Vietnamese delegation to the meetings was led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Cam Tu. The ministers reviewed the implementation of measures for the establishment of the ASEAN Community, one pillar of which is the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Deputy Minister Nguyen Cam Tu said ASEAN member states are determined to push ahead with economic integration and the formation of the AEC by the yearend, adding Vietnam has always taken the lead in fulfilling its commitments. Tu added that from now until the year-end, Vietnam will focus on implementing 3 solutions in services, transportation, and infrastructure development
