(VOVworld) –The ASEAN+3 Young Entrepreneurs Forum opened in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday, attracting the participation of 65 young entrepreneurs and youth leaders of 10 ASEAN countries and the Republic of Korea, Japan, and China. This is part of a series of activities prior to the official establishment of the ASEAN Community by the end of this year. 

The forum emphasized the importance of regional sustainable economic development, and young entrepreneurs’ role in the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community and the sustainable development of the ASEAN Community.

Delegates discussed new economic models, initiatives in production technologies, business management, and preparations for the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community. Nguyen Phi Long, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Federation, said: "The forum is expected to connect and establish a network among ASEAN young entrepreneurs, helping them develop sustainably. The forum reiterates ASEAN young businesses’ determination to accelerate reform and promote creativity, and sustainable development with high-quality human resources."

The forum aims to realize the Hanoi Initiative on developing ASEAN young human resources. It will run until Monday.
