(VOVworld) - The 11th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting wrapped up in New Delhi, India, on Tuesday after adopting a President’s Statement on future directions and programmes for the forum, passing 16 new initiatives, establishing 12 cooperation groups, and making preparations to admit Croatia to the forum.
Delegates agreed on the importance of maintaining peace and stability and ensuring maritime freedom, security, and safety in order to restore the economy and deal with global challenges. Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc said Vietnam contributed to the event, cooperating with India and other ASEM members on issues including the sustainable management of water resources.
