Assassination of Haiti President: UN urges calm in Haiti
(VOVWORLD) - The UN Security Council on Wednesday condemned Haitian President Jovenel Moise's assassination, urging related parties to stay calm and avoid acts that could worsen the situation in Haiti.

Members of the UN Security Council made an emphatic call on all political stakeholders in Haiti to refrain from any acts of violence and any incitement to violence. They also called for the perpetrators of this abhorrent crime to be swiftly brought to justice.
The UN Security Council had a close-door meeting on this on Thursday.
