Australia invests over 2 billion USD in Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) -Australian businesses have so far invested in 631 projects in Vietnam, with a total registered capital of more than 2 billion USD, according to the Foreign Investment Department, Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Australian investment focuses on 18 industries. They include processing and manufacturing; accommodation and food services; agriculture, forestry and fisheries; health and social assistance activities; mining; arts, recreation and entertainment; education and training; professional and scientific and technological activities; real estate; wholesale and retail; and repair of cars and motorbikes.
45 provinces and cities of Vietnam have attracted Australian projects. Ba Ria-Vung Tau has the most projects: 16 projects worth 390 million USD; Ho Chi Minh City ranked 2nd with a total registered investment capital of 231 million USD and Hanoi ranked 3rd with a total registered investment capital of 210 million USD.
