The 3-day visit takes place amidst thriving bilateral relations and increasing political trust through meetings and exchanges of high-ranking delegations.
The two countries have enjoyed fruitful cooperation and supported each other at multilateral forums, including the United Nations, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and ASEAN-led mechanisms. Vietnam and Australia have both ratified the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and are working towards adoption of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
