Australian Senate President begins official visit to Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) -A high-ranking delegation of the Australian Senate led by President Scott Ryan arrived in Hanoi on Sunday evening, beginning a 5-day official visit to Vietnam.

The visit is made at the invitation of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1973, Vietnam and Australia have built strong and substantial ties on the basis of mutual respect and interest. Both nations upgraded their bilateral relationship to the level of a strategic partnership in March, 2018 during Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to Australia.
