Autumn Winter Border Victory affirms Party leadership
(VOVWORLD) - A national conference on the 1950 Autumn Winter Border Victory has highlighted the precise and creative leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. The event honored the creativity and self-reliance of Vietnamese people and soldiers in national defense.

The conference was held on Friday in Lang Son province by the Ministry of Defense, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, and the Party Committee of Lang Son province.
Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong, Deputy Defense Minister said: “The 1950 Autumn Winter Border Victory is the crystallization of the extraordinary efforts of our army and people, a historical event marking a leap and an important change in the resistance war against the French colonialists, shifting the resistance of our army and people from a guerrilla war to a refined combination of an all-out war and a guerrilla war.”
The national conference was part of a series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Autumn Winter Border Victory.
