Ban Gioc waterfall festival opens in Cao Bang
(VOVWORLD) - A tourism festival opened on Saturday in Ban Gioc Waterfall tourist site in Trung Khanh District in the mountainous province of Cao Bang.

The festival aims to promote Cao Bang Province’s landscapes, especially Ban Gioc Waterfall, people and unique culture to local and international tourists, contributing to the local socio-economic development and attracting more investors to the province. Dao Trung Thong, a visitor from Bac Giang province, said: "The festival is very well-organized and quite exciting. The landscape here is beautiful while the weather is wonderful. I hope there will be more tours to this site and more and more tourists will choose Ban Gioc as their favorite destinations."
The Ban Gioc waterfall festival is part of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Culture, Sports and Tourism Week.
In 1997, Ban Gioc waterfall was officially recognized as a national scenic spot. Ban Gioc waterfall is the world’s fourth largest border waterfall, after Iguazu Falls on the Brazil-Argentina border, Victoria Falls on the Zambia-Zimbabwe border, and Niagara Falls on the Canada-America border. World renowned travel magazines have honored Ban Gioc as one of top ten most majestic waterfall on earth.
