Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said 2015 marked Vietnam's completion of 5 years implementing guidelines of the 11th National Party Congress and the national socio-economic development plan for the 2011-2015 period with significant achievements. In 2015 Vietnam achieved a GDP growth rate of nearly 6.7%, stabilized the macro economy, and contained inflation. Vietnam has accelerated its international integration and has signed 10 free trade agreements. Prime Minister Dung said: “Vietnam’s international relations have been expanded and Vietnam has set up partnerships with most of the countries in the region and the world. Vietnam has been promoting friendly cooperation on the basis of respect to each other’s national independence, sovereignty, and legitimate interests, and international law. Vietnam attaches importance to contributing to peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region and the world.”
