(VOVWORLD) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Thursday said he is ready to mediate Ukraine peace talks if Moscow and Kyiv agree.

In a speech in Minsk, he said that talks on Ukraine have hit a dead end but there is still a way out, and negotiations to resolve the conflict could start this autumn.
According to Lukashenko, Europe is ready for peace talks on Ukraine and China can play an important role in resolving the problem. Russia and Ukraine have not yet commented.
