Belgian Deputy Prime Minister visits Vietnam
(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has underlined the importance of the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties, which Vietnam and Belgium are celebrating this year. At Monday’s reception in Hanoi for visiting Belgian Deputy Prime Minister Johan Vande Lanotte, Dung said that Vietnam wanted to work with Belgium to boost political and diplomatic ties, which will serve as a foundation for further economic, investment, trade and ODA cooperation and mutual assistance at international forums. The Vietnamese Prime Minister pledged favorable conditions for Belgian investors in Vietnam and increased two-way trade. He asked Belgium for their support and help to conclude the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Union. He also urged the prompt recognition of Vietnam’s market economy.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Ministers Hoang Trung Hai and Johan Vande Lanotte witnessed the signing of agreements to support Vietnamese business incubators and supplying Earth observation minisatellites (VNREDSat-1B).
