Belgian judge releases ex-Catalan leaders with conditions
(VOVWORLD) -A Belgian judge released the ousted Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont and four of his ministers with certain conditions after a hearing that lasted more than 10 hours, Belgian broadcaster VRT reported late Sunday.

Puigdemont, who faces charges of misuse of public funds, disobedience, and breach of trust relating to Castalia’s secession campaign, turned himself in to Belgian police earlier in the day. The judge decided to grant the five people conditional release pending a ruling by a court on whether to execute an arrest warrant issued by Spain, VRT said. Puigdemont and the ministers fled to Belgium just before the Spanish government took direct control of Catalonia.
