(VOVworld) – Belgium will deploy joint patrols of police and soldiers in Brussels, mainly at metro stations, next week, as part of the Vigilant Guardian program to improve security in Brussels following terror attacks there on March 22.

Salah Abdeslam, the key suspect in the Paris terrorist attack last November, will be extradited to France in the next few weeks. His lawyer, Sven Mary, says Belgium will have to rescind its arrest orders before handing over the suspect to France.
