Bhutan’s National Council Chairman to visit Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - Chairman of the National Council (Upper House) of Bhutan Tashi Dorji will pay an official visit to Vietnam from May 11-14, the Vietnamese National Assembly’s Committee for External Affairs has announced.

The visit will be made at the invitation of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. Vietnam and Bhutan officially established diplomatic ties on January 19, 2012. The two countries have enjoyed a sound friendship with regular exchanges of congratulatory messages between leaders on the occasion of significant events. Vietnam mainly exports tractors and wood products to Bhutan. More than 1,400 Vietnamese tourists visited Bhutan in 2018, according to the Bhutan Tourism Council.
