Blood donation drive underway nationwide
(VOVWORLD) - A blood donation campaign called “Red Sunday” took place in many localities across Vietnam.
In the northern province of Nam Dinh, organizers collected 5,000 blood units donated by local young people. The program attracted 600 Youth Union members and soldiers in the central city of Dong Hoi and collected 230 blood units in the northern province of Bac Kan.
“The ‘Red Sunday’ event has attracted a lot of Youth Union members and members of the armed forces. Many of them have donated blood multiple times,” said Ma Thi Man, Vice Secretary of the Bac Kan Youth Union.
On Saturday, the HCM city Red Cross launched a blood donation program, which will run until March 23.
