Nguyen Huu Duc of Vinh Phuc province said he wanted to donate platelets to save other people’s lives: “Many patients are in need of blood especially those who had accidents and serious patients. I donate my blood to save other people’s lives.”

Doctor Ngo Manh Quan, Deputy Director of the National Blood Center of the Hanoi Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion said: “In recent years, many people have taken blood donation as part of activities during their new year meetings. On the first three days of the new lunar year, the atmosphere at our institute is really warm thanks to the sharing of the community.”
