(VOVWORLD) - Boeing said Thursday it has halted deliveries of its 737 MAX after a second deadly crash of this model within just 6 months.
Boeing will pause deliveries of the 737 MAX until the company can come up with a solution, a Boeing spokesman said, adding that they will continue manufacturing the aircraft.
An Ethiopian Airlines crash on Sunday killed all 157 passengers and crew on board. The US Federal Aviation Administration said the track of the Ethiopian Airlines flight is very close and behaved very similarly to the Lion Air flight which crashed in Indonesia last October. Governments around the world have banned the 737 MAX from flying until it is ascertained there are no further safety issues.
