(VOVWORLD) -Various activities were held throughout Vietnam on Friday to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s 133rd birthday, May 19th.

A seminar was held at Ho Chi Minh City book street to introduce a book entitled “From Sen Village to Nha Rong Wharf” by Professor, writer Trinh Quang Phu.
The book includes touching stories by several people who had the honor to meet Uncle Ho and the stories featuring the respect and boundless love of people and soldiers from the southern region for the President. The book is to educate patriotism for young people, thus promoting the movement to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

On the same day, 180 documentaries, photos, and artifacts featuring President Ho Chi Minh are on display at a thematic exhibit in Thua Thien Hue province. Themed "Prison Diary-national treasure", the exhibit also introduces the origin of the book and 53 pages of autographs of 133 poems and pages of personal notes in the work.
Le Thuy Chi, Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue, said that Thua Thien Hue province has organized many activities to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.
“Our museum has also held multiple programs, in which the exhibit is the highlight. We hope to give viewers the images of a great man Ho Chi Minh, but not only a politician, an eminent culturist, and a great poet of the Vietnamese literature,” Chi added.
Written 80 years ago, “Prison Diary of Ho Chi Minh” illustrates the intellectual and cultural stature of a great man, with noble aspiration: "Independence for the nation and freedom for people".
