(VOVWORLD) - Britain will share its technical expertise with Ukraine as part of a new package of support to help Ukraine rebuild its infrastructure and transportation network, the government said on Thursday.

British experts will provide technical expertise in airport, runway, and port reconstruction, and will train aviation staff, British Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said in a statement.
Ukraine needs a strong economy and steadily operating infrastructure, said Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov. Ukraine hopes to receive expertise from leading British companies and institutes to restore its infrastructure. As one of the world’s biggest grain exporters, Ukraine needs interventions to help its economy recover and alleviate pressure on global food prices.
