(VOVworld) – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan has said that building new-style cooperatives is a breakthrough in agricultural restructuring.

At a training workshop for employees from 28 branches of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the northern region on Wednesday, Mr. Nhan said the cooperatives are entitled to mechanize, and modernize agricultural production.  Mr. Nhan said it was essential to highlight the role and functions of cooperatives, as well as to spread information about the 2012 Cooperative Law and the role of new-style cooperatives. It is necessary to promote agricultural production by way of large-scale, modern cultivation for processing, consumption, and export. Mr. Nhan urged the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and provincial cooperative alliances to implement programs to connect cooperatives and enterprises, creating stable outlets for selling products.
