Burkina Faso attack: French embassy is under control
(VOVWORLD) - Foreign Minister Jean-Yves le Drian's aide said Friday France's embassy and cultural institute in the Burkina Faso capital are no longer in danger as four gunmen were killed at the French embassy.

Le Drian confirmed on LCI Television that there was no immediate information on civilian casualties. President Emmanuel Macron’s office said the President is following the situation closely, recommending French living in Burkina Faso not going out these days.
Armed assailants attacked several targets in Burkina Faso’s capital on Friday, including the army headquarters and the French embassy. Witnesses said there were 5 men in a pickup truck shot a passerby before attacking the French embassy. At the same, another attack happened at Burkina Faso’s army headquarters, 1 km from the French embassy.
