Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that Cam Lam urban project was approved in an overall connection with Nha Trang city and Cam Ranh urban area. It will be a modern, ecological, smart, world-class airport urban area and a key marine tourism and logistics hub.

Ha said: “Together with other projects, it will create a new space and drivers for Khanh Hoa province and Cam Lam district in particular to develop faster and more sustainably based on urban economy and services. Cam Lam people will soon benefit high-end social services. It’s important to organize the implementation and supervision effectively. The decisive factor for success is our dynamic, creative spirit and methodical and synchronous approach.”

The planning area includes the entire administrative boundary of Cam Lam district of 54,700 ha, excluding Thuy Trieu lagoon. The goal is to develop Cam Lam into a growth driving force in the south of Khanh Hoa province and the South Central region, contributing to elevating Khanh Hoa to a centrally run city.
