Cambodia National Assembly elects Hun Sen's youngest son as Deputy PM

(VOVWORLD) -The Cambodian National Assembly on Wednesday held an extraordinary meeting to conduct a confidence vote and elect three new members to the Government, including Hun Many, the current Minister of Public Service.

Winning all 120 votes of confidence, Hun Many was elected as the 11th Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia from 2023 to 2028.
Hun Many was born in 1982, being the youngest son of Samdech Hun Sen, Chairman of the ruling Cambodian People's Party, and younger brother of Prime Minister Hun Manet. He has served as Minister of Public Service since last August and is the President of the Cambodian Youth Union.
Srey Thamrung and Pen Vibol were appointed by the National Assembly as Senior Ministers in charge of special affairs of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
