The Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) extraordinary congress concluded on Sunday in Phnom Penh. According to a congress resolution, the Royal Cambodian government of Prime Minister Hunsen in his 5-year term of office has achieved significant political, security and social results. The resolution said the Cambodian economy hit 7.3 % growth last year.  Despite the global economic downturn, the poverty rate fell from 22.9 % in 2009 to 20% in 2011 and 19% this year. The congress has agreed to pass the party’s Political program for national construction and defense in the next five years and for the preparation elections of the 5^th National Assembly in July.
