(VOVworld)- The Cambodian government has confirmed the consistency of its map used in the demarcation of border with Vietnam compared to the UN map.

Speaking after a review meeting on Thursday with representatives of 3 major political parties in Cambodia, the National Assembly, Supreme Court judges and international journalists, Senior Minister and Chairman of the Cambodian Border Committee, Var Kimhong, said the UN map was exactly the same as the map used by his committee in Cambodian Vietnamese border demarcation. A spokesman of the Cambodian government, Minister of State Phay Siphan said this was the final activity by the Cambodian government to ensure the correctness and transparency in negotiation and border demarcation with Vietnam while the government will seriously deal with illegal activities to distort  border issues.
