(VOVworld) - The Uzbek Central Election Commission said on September 23 that all four political parties registered in Uzbekistan are allowed to participate in a presidential election scheduled to take place in December 4^th.

The list of presidential candidates includes Shavkat Mirziyoyev who is now taking a post as President after a sudden death of President Islam Karimov in September 2^nd. Other candidates are Nariman Umarov from the Adola (Justice) Party, Sarvar Otamuratov from "Milly Tiklanish" (National Revival), and Hotamzhon Ketmonov from the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU). The total number of voters included in the lists of the constituencies is 21.435 million, and each eligible candidate need to collect at least 1% of the total number of voters’ signature.
