(VOVworld) – A ceremony to mark 101 years since President Ho Chi Minh traveled abroad for national salvation opened today/ on Tuesday in Ho Chi Minh city.

Head of Ho Chi Minh city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Thanh Rum said the event started President Ho Chi Minh’s great and difficult journey during 30 years of searching for ways for national liberation. That was considered a great breakthrough in Vietnam’s revolutionary history for national liberation and moving toward socialism. On the same day, many city dwellers also laid wreaths and visited exhibitions on President Ho Chi Minh’s life and revolutionary career.
