Zhong made his statement at a video conference on COVID-19 control attended by ASEAN+3 trade and investment ministers. The meeting was chaired by Vietnam which holds the chairmanship of ASEAN this year.
Zhong said that China is ready to share its experience in epidemic prevention and control with regional countries and will continue to assist them in buying medical equipment and materials from China.
He also asked the countries to increase trade and investment cooperation, stabilise regional industrial supply chains, and maintain travel of residents and logistic services to minimize pandemic impacts and restore regional economic growth.
The Chinese Minister said he hopes the parties involved will deepen regional economic ties and implement results agreed upon at the special summit of ASEAN+3 on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership in April.
Participating parties agreed on the importance of promoting joint cooperation in disease combat and economic development.
