China urges immediate ceasefire in Ukraine, promises to promote peace talks
(VOVWORLD) - China’s ambassador to the US, Qin Gang, said Sunday that China is responding to Russia’s crisis on Ukraine by calling for a ceasefire, promoting peace talks and sending humanitarian aid.

Qin also said that China isn’t sending arms to any party involved — only aid including “food, medicine, sleeping bags and baby formula.”
The ambassador said that China has and will continue to do everything it can to deescalate the conflict.
Beijing has announced that it does not support nor participate in imposing any sanctions against Moscow. China believes that Western sanctions imposed on Russia are increasingly outrageous and cannot solve the problem.
