In an interview with Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the Tiger New Year 2022, Xiong Bo affirmed that amid the complicated pandemic situation, the Party and Government of Vietnam have put the people at the center, simultaneously implementing disease prevention and control and socio-economic development, striving to maintain macroeconomic stability and recording a GDP growth rate of 2.58%.

The Ambassador said that under the strategic direction of the top leaders of the two Communist Parties, over the past year, the China-Vietnam relationship has maintained a good momentum. He added 2022 is a year of great significance for the two countries as well as for bilateral relations. China is willing to work with Vietnam to carry out a high-level strategic direction, boost the traditional friendship between the two countries, deepen their comprehensive strategic cooperation, protect the shared strategic interests, and promote the development of each country, bringing practical benefits to the two peoples, according to the Chinese Ambassador.
