Chinese Foreign Minister to visit Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will begin a visit to Vietnam on Friday as part of his tour of South East Asia and South Korea to bolster cooperation, foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said Tuesday.

During his stay in Vietnam from Friday to Sunday, Wang and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh will co-chair the 13th meeting of the China-Vietnam Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation.
Then Wang will continue on to Cambodia and Singapore, where economic ties will be high on the agenda.
In South Korea, Wang is expected to talk with Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong and meet with President Moon Jae-in to discuss bilateral cooperation, the situation on the Korean peninsula, and other matters of mutual concern.
