Chinese Party, State leader welcomed with 21-gun salute
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and his wife were welcomed with a 21gun salute in Hanoi on Tuesday as the top leader of China begins a two-day state visit to Vietnam.

The welcome ceremony at the highest level for a head of state was hosted by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and his wife. The two leaders later held talks.
It is the first visit to Vietnam by Mr. Xi since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and follows Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to China last year.
Vietnam and China are celebrating 15 years of their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
