To Thi Mai Trang, a resident of Ho Chi Minh city, said: "I’m really enjoying this year’s Christmas vibe. Many products are being sold at a low price."
180,000 Catholics and Protestants in Kon Tum province gathered at big churches to pray for a happy and peaceful new year. A Bliu of Kon Tum city said: "I pray for a new year full of peace, good health, and prosperity. Other villagers are praying for health and bumper crops."
People in Ninh Binh province celebrated Christmas at local churches. The Phat Diem cathedral, decorated with sparkling snowflakes and colored lights, attracted a large number of visitors. Nguyen Manh Dat of Kim Son district said he and his family came to the cathedral to pray for good things to come to his family and other Catholics.
