(VOVworld) – All member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States have agreed to adopt the draft call of CIS’ leaders to their peoples and the international community in connection with the 70th anniversary of the victory in World War II.

Minsk hosts summits of CIS leaders and FMs

The adoption was made at the CIS Foreign Ministers’ meeting aimed to affirm the importance of respecting the history, and feat of arms of those who sacrificed their lives during the struggle of the former Soviet Union’s people and army. The address is to educate the younger generation and infuse them the pride of their predecessors and calls for preventing the resuscitation of fascist ideology and the distortion of the history of World War II. The meeting was in preparation for the CIS summit in Belarus on Friday.
