Clashes erupt in Aleppo after truce expires
(VOVworld) – Heavy clashes erupted between government and rebel forces in the Syrian city of Aleppo on Saturday after a ceasefire unilaterally announced by the Russian government expired.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that fierce fighting broke out in several areas along the front line dividing Aleppo. Shelling landed at the rebel-held Salaheddin and Al-Mashhad districts, wounding 3 people. The first air strikes since the end of the truce hit Sheikh Saeed district, which also saw heavy fighting.
