(VOVworld) - The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs signed a 4-year deal until 2016 in Hanoi on Wednesday. Under the deal, the two sides will coordinate to mobilize ethnic groups to implement Party policies on ethnic minority groups, and organize patriotic movements. The two called for ethnic solidarity to boost the economy, reduce poverty, and ensure political security. Giang Seo Phu is Minister and Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs: “After meetings with voters nationwide to identify aspirations, especially among ethnic groups, the two committees agreed to work together to deal with problems, report to appropriate authorities of the Party, State, and National Assembly, and resolve voters’ petitions effectively.”
