At a meeting with Chairman of the Communist Party of Russia Gennady Zyuganov in Moscow on Saturday, Mr. Trong called on both sides to increase exchanges of delegations and promote the cooperative ties between the two Parties’ mass organizations, especially the Youth Union, so as the younger generations will uphold the traditional ties of the two countries and Parties. Party leader Trong said both sides need to consolidate the organization and operation of friendship associations to develop friendship between the two nations. He said he hopes that the Communist Party of Russia with its prestige and influence will do its utmost to elevate the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.

Mr. Zyuganov said the Communist Party of Russia always supports cooperative programs with Vietnam.

Later the same day, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong left Moscow, concluding his official visit to Russia. He will head to Hungary for an official visit at the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
