(VOVworld) - A conference took place in Hanoi on Friday to review the 5 year implementation of a project on "Enhancing Vietnam farmers' Association’s role and responsibility in agricultural development, new rural area construction and Vietnam farming class building in the 2010 - 2020 period”, also known as Project 61.

Representatives of ministries, central agencies, and provincial and municipal authorities hailed the project which has promoted the work of the Vietnam’s Farmers’ Association in supporting farmers and new rural development. Delegates set out tasks for the next 5 years, focusing on improving mechanisms and policies regarding agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, as well as strongly boosting agriculture restructuring, and increasing farmers’ incomes.
