Connecting economic development between disadvantaged and developed regions
(VOVworld)- On Friday, the National Assembly’s Committee for Social Affairs discussed the implementation of the NA resolution on promoting sustainable poverty reduction until 2020.
Over the past two years, the nationwide poverty rate reduced from 14.2% to 4.25% compared to the resolution’s target of reducing 2% annually. The deputies stressed the need to increase resources and balance the state’s mid-term funding for policies and programs on poverty reduction, determine priorities to ensure appropriate budget allocation, and integrate policies and resources effectively. They stressed the important to connecting socio-economic development between disadvantaged and developed regions to ensure sustainable poverty reduction.
