Vu Minh Ly, Deputy Director of the Communications Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, chief organizer of the program, said: “The contest encourages the preservation and promotion of Vietnamese culture. Individuals can send us photos and videos of places they have visited to compete for weekly, monthly, and yearly prizes. There is another competition for groups, judged on their contribution to places they’ve visited. The contribution can be an entertainment program to promote an attraction, an activity related to environmental protection, or community service such as helping the elderly or the disadvantaged.”    

A series of events promoting Vietnam’s heritages and involving celebrity volunteers could be organized from May to the end of December.
