Contest on Vietnam-Laos relations launched
(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Public Security has launched a contest to encourage the study of the history of Vietnam-Laos relations. The contest is one of several activities marking the 35
th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty and the 50
th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Its aim is to raise among ministry’s cadres, soldiers, and youth an awareness of the importance of Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship. Lieutenant-colonel Pham Kim Dinh is Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, under the Ministry of Public Security:
“The Youth union understands that this is a significant political activity. We mobilized all youth members to join the contest. We believe the contest will bring a deeper awareness of, and help the young members learn more about, the relations between the two nations, parties, and states”.
The contest’s award ceremony will be held at the end of this year in Savanakhet province, Laos.
