(VOVworld) - The Central Highlands Steering Committee and Border Guard Command signed a program Sunday to enhance their cooperation in ensuring security along Central Highland borders and in adjacent areas for the 2015-2020 period.

Minister of Public Security, General Tran Dai Quang said: "This cooperative program is of great importance as it serves as a foundation for the Central Highlands Steering Committee and Border Guard Command to better fulfill their assigned tasks. This also helps consolidate security and defense in Vietnam’s Central Highlands region, build a safe and friendly border route, and contribute to the region’s socio-economic development."
