Egypt reaffirmed its unwavering stance against all forms of violence, emphasizing its full solidarity with Pakistan in confronting extremism and terrorism, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
China condemned the bombing that targeted civilians in Pakistan, stressing its support for Pakistan in promoting Action on Counter-Terrorism and its determination to eliminate terrorism, maintain social stability, and protect citizens, said a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The suicide bombing occurred on Sunday, during a gathering of over 400 members of the conservative Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) party. The JUI-F party is known for its association with hardline political Islam. The gathering took place under a canopy in the town of Khar, adjacent to the Afghanistan border.
The attack resulted in the loss of more than 50 lives.
